Creation idea

In 2017, Uzbek authorities officially announced the transfer of the Kaufmann House to the center of the capital. Its reconstruction had been taking place under strict supervision of the government.

The newly reconstructed building is the official reception house of the Foreign Ministry. Uzbekistan is a country with a rich cultural heritage where architectural decoration and traditional crafts are inextricably linked with each other.

Interiors

The head of the government of Uzbekistan has set a rather difficult task for our architects and designers, namely to create a design project in historical monument style. Our designers have developed an interior project in which the East traditions and modern classics are closely intertwined. Each room was decorated individually depending on the functional purpose.

Style

A number of rooms are made in the national Uzbek style where a designer creates an organic combination of traditions and modernity synthesis introducing ethnic motives into the architecture. The characteristic feature of the Uzbek style used in this project is an abundance of details fully emphasizing exquisite beauty of the room.

Carved wooden elements, ganch carving, ornate patterns and ornaments in wall and ceiling paintings, bright textiles with ornaments from different regions of Uzbekistan on curtains and upholstered furniture.

Materials

When creating the interiors, we used exclusively natural materials, such as timber for the wall panels and all of the furniture and, also, marble. There are coffered ceilings of complex unusual shapes additionally decorated with plaster mouldings with gilding and luxurious crystal chandeliers. For the flooring, we have selected several types of marble and palace parquetry manufactured by the masters of our furniture factory.
